Data points are Australian export fob prices for iron ore, Australian port, US $/metric tonne.
Typical monthly volumes are 10-30 million tonnes of exports. Note that the prices shown are different figures from contract prices which are usually set annually and renegotiated at the start of each calendar year under the 'benchmark' system.
