A privately held leading steel manufacturing company, located in Pennsylvania, is looking to hire a Melting and Remelting Manager who will reports to the V.P. of Manufacturing.


RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the primary melt shop and remelt operations
- Responsible for all employees in melt shop and remelt shop
- Has 8 salaried direct reports. Work 3 shifts. (24x7 operation)
- Responsible for producing a world class quality product at the lower cost with on time
delivery while maintaining a safe work environment.
- Responsible for continuous improvement, reduction in waste and costs
- Problem solving through team management
- Responsible for maintaining equipment reliability, maintaining and/or improving yield,
meeting ISO and audit requirements
- Maintain communications and contacts throughout entire staff to ensure implementation
and adherence to labor relations, union policies, safety, housekeeping and procedure
policies.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- B.S./B.A. – Metallurgical Engineering or any Technical degree
- Experience with direct hourly supervision in a union environment is a MUST
- Steel Industry Experience is a major plus
- Knowledge of “pareto solving techniques” is a plus

SALARY
- Depending on Experience
- Full Relocation
