World steel prices shown in chart above represent average historic rebar prices (f.o.b. local port) expressed in US $ per metric tonne. The price projections to mid-year 2013 [illustrated] and from mid-2013 to 2015 [blanked out] derive from the econometric steel price model developed by MCI. This model was originally published in our 2006 blog entry on world steel price levels.
