Other information: Heavy Metal & Tubes has a dedicated plant of 27,500 square meters of covered area for manufacturing stainless steel seamless and welded tubes (including carbon and alloy steel pipe, cold drawn pipe and OCTG tube). Production equipment includes 15 pilger mills, a bright annealing furnace, 5 draw benches, 3 tube mills.

Cold finished pipes are produced out of quality seamless hollows which are manufactured in-house. Seamless hollows are either cold pilgered in pilger mills or cold drawn over draw benches using precision tooling (dies and plugs) to achieve requisite dimensions with good surface finish.

Pilgered and drawn tubes are subjected to heat treatment, straightening and surface treatment. Finished tubes and pipes undergo various tests as per specifications or customer requirements followed by marking and packing.

All production workshops are approved by leading national as well as international inspection agencies and similar bodies.

HMT produces tubes and pipes ranging from 4 mm to 220 mm in outside diameter and 0.5 mm to 25 mm wall thickness. The firm produces pipe in straight lengths up to 31 meters. The firm also supplies precision cold bent 'U' tubes as per TEMA / other specifications.
