• China, Jinding Steel, Handan City Works, Heavy section and rail mill. Construction plan envisages two H-beam plants including reheating furnaces, cooling beds, straighteners
• Philippines, Steel Asia Manufacturing Corp, Lemery, EAF / CC / Sections. Scrap-based integrated plant making sections. Original start up was planned for 2021.
• Russia, Severstal, Cherepovets, Blast furnace. Construction of new BF#3, 28 bn rubles investment over 4 years.
• Russia, NLMK, Novolipetsk, HDG. Quality HDG steel for construction, automotive, white goods industries.
• Russia, Severstal, Cherepovets, Rod mill. Investment includes reheat furnace, descaling unit, rolling stands, Stelmor air cooling line, Garret winder line.
• Turkey, Erdemir Group, Eregli Works, Coke ovens. Construction of the 4th Coke Battery and modernization of the Secondary Product Facilities
• Turkey, Erdemir Group, Eregli Works, Sinter plant. New sinter plant costing ~USD 198m to be commissioned in June 2022
• USA, Nucor, Brandenburg, EAF / CC / Plate mill. Will produce cut-to-length, coiled, heat-treated & discrete plate 60-160" wide, in gauges from 3/16" 14".
• USA, US Steel, Mon Valley, Clairton, PA, Endless casting rolling HRC. Endless casting-rolling plant will produce high-quality, ultra-thin strip.
