Trinecke Zelezarny together with Moravia Steel and numerous subsidiaries ranks among the most significant industrial groups in Middle Europe. The tradition of steelmaking production dates back to 1839. At present the firm's products are exported to more than 60 countries all over the world

The principal iron and steel production plant s located at Trinec, and is equipped with coke ovens, sinter plant, BOF and EAF steelmaking, ladle furnaces, billet and bloom continuous casters, a billet mill, a blooming mill, a section mill, bar mill and wire rod mill. The site includes a seamless tube and pipe mill. Other plant include slag reprocessing.

A separate site at Drin Kladno (the former POLDI facility) is also equipped with blast furnace ironmaking, BOF and EAF steelmaking, ladle furnace refining and vacuum degassing and AOD; and produces ingot, continuous cast billet and bloom, bright bar, peeled bar, ground bar - and offers other steel processing services such as shot blasting, annealing, quenching and tempering.

• Energetika Trinec, which supplies electricity; process steam; heat; fuel gas; compressed and blast air; and process, service and drinking water to Trinecke Zelezarny and other companies as well as the regional community
• Strojírny a stavby Trinec, which supplies technological structures, industrial machinery, spare parts, welded constructions including bridges, metallurgical rolls (including roll shop services)
• Slevarny Trinec, which is involved in the production and sales of steel castings, grey iron and non-ferrous metals
• Retezarna, involved in the manufacture of chains (including snow chains and fishing chains)
• Refrasil, which supplies refactory materials.
