• Austria, VoestAlpine, Kapfenberg, Specialty EAF. Advanced special steel plant. EAF to be powered using 100% green electricity
• China, Baowu, Ouyeel Blockchain Finance & Metal Recycling Resources. New scrap processing plant. This will be a so-called 'lights-out factory' that is completely unmanned
• France, Celsa, Bayonne, Bar mill. New rolling mill will be adjacent to existing Bayonne melt shop
• India, KIOCL/RINL jv, Visakhapatnam, Pellet plant. Plant to be commissioned by 2021 on 75 acre plot of land
• India, RINL, Rae Bareli unit, Railway wheels. Capacity of one lakh pieces of forged wheels / year. Capex Rs 1680 crore.
• Pakistan, Century Steel. Investing in new rebar mill, as Phase I. Phase II will centre on construction of a 500,000 tpy steel meltshop
• Russia, Evraz, Zapsib, EAF / thin slab / HRC plant. This will involve thin slab technology for slab 70-100mm thickness and HRC and plate 1.2-25mm thick 900-1,600mm wide
• Russia, Linde Group, Ural Steel, Air separation unit. Supply of oxygen, nitrogen, argon. Capacity 20000 m3 O2/hr
• Russia, Tenaris / Severstal jv, Surgut, Welded tube - OCTG. Tenaris stake 49%, Severstal 51%. OCTG pipe for Russian and export markets
• Turkey, Erdemir Group, Iskenderun Works. New vacuum degassing plant to be commissioned in April 2021
• USA, Steel Dynamics, Sinton, EAF / thin slab / HRC. Capex includes CRC, HDG and OCS. Sinton is ~30 miles NW of port of Corpus Christi, Texas
• USA, Nucor, Nucor Steel Arkansas, HDG. New mill be operational in the first half of 2021
• USA, Nova Tube & Steel, Delta, Welded tube - Longitudinal. For production of hollow structural sections and standard pipe
• USA, Zekelman Industries, Blytheville, Welded tube - Longitudinal. To be built on property adjacent to its existing Atlas Tube mill
