MCI joins forces with Saint Barbara to offer clients a broader range of metals, minerals and mining industry consulting and expert witness support services. The merger combines MCI's iron and steel sector expertise with Saint Barbara's established mining and non-ferrous metals capabilities across Europe, Africa, Asia-Pacific and the Americas.

MCI publishes comprehensive report on capital investment costs for plant and equipment in iron and steelmaking. The report covers over 30 different facilities including BOF and EAF plants, direct reduction facilities, rolling mills and coating lines, based on analysis of approximately US$265bn in steel sector investments worldwide.
